The Power traveled to Peoria to face the Mustangs for the final time this season and came away with two more in the win column. The Power edged out the Mustangs 3-2 on Friday and came away with a commanding 9-0 victory on Saturday. The Power is 8-0 against the Mustangs this season and improved to 40-3-1-1 with 82 points in first place in the Central Division.
Friday
There was no scoring by either team in the first period. Jace Fitzgerald (25) got the scoring started at 18:18 of the second period off an Adam Sexton (14) assist. Shaun Paulson (11) addded the Power’s second goal at 15:29. The Mustangs Jordan Mini answered to cut the lead in half at 14:37. Jackson Hoem (11) added the Power’s third goal at 12:40 off another Sexton (15) assist. The Mustangs Brendon Miller answered with a goal at 3:51 for a 3-2 Power lead after two periods of play. There was no scoring in the third period by either team. Sam Ahl earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 31/33 shots on goal. The Power had 52 shots on goal.
Saturday
The Power came out strong from the start, scoring seven times in the first period. Adian Callaghan (14) scored just a minute into the game off assists from Shaun Paulson (17) and Mason Wanka (24). Shaun Paulson (12) scored a power play goal at 13:42 off assists from Jackson Hoem (23) and Nolan Mix (21). Paulson added his second of the night, third on the weekend at 11:44 off an assist from Wanka (25). Jace Fiztgerald scored twice in the period, at 10:44 and 7:18 with both goals assisted by Hoem (24, 25) and Mix (22,23). Mix then found the back of the net himself, with his 19th goal on the year off assists from Hoem (26) and Nathan Antti (13). Mason Wanka (18) added the seventh goal of the period with 46 seconds remaining off a Callaghan (34) assist for the 7-0 lead after one period. There was no scoring in the second period. The Power added two goals in the third period. Blake Kohnen (13) scored at 7:33 off assists from Michael Maillette (7) and Hunter O’Neal (9) and Jace Fitzgerald (28) secured the hat trick with his third goal of the night at 8:58 off an assist from Drew Sparacino (33) for the 9-0 final. Ben Glaesman earned the victory and shutout in the Power net, stopping all 20 Mustangs shots on goal. The Power had 57 shots on goal.

The Power returns home Friday for the final regular home game of the season. Friday is FAN AND BILLET APPRECIATION NIGHT sponsored by Beek’s Joint and Westbury Bank. The first 500 fans will receive a free Power team photo compliments of ALT Imagery. The Power age-out players will be recognized before the game and Power billet families will be recognized at intermission. There will be free fan raffles and prizes throughout the night. The Great Outdoors Supper Club will be offering a pre-game Fish Fry before the game starting at 5:00pm.
The Power will travel to Tomah for the final game of the regular season on Saturday. The first round of the Central Division Fraser Cup playoffs will be held March 12-15. Game dates and times TBA. All games will be broadcast on NA TV.
