The Power swept the Mustangs in Peoria over the weekend and set a franchise record for regular season wins at 33. The Power is currently 33-8-2-2 in first place in the Central Division with 70 points. The Power can clinch the Central Division on Friday with a win in Tomah.
Friday the Power put up 10 goals to Peoria’s one. Kelly Coldwater got the scoring started less than a minute into the game with his 6th goal of the season. He was assisted by Jace Fitzgerald (20) and Blake Mitchell (15). Peoria answered at 14:31 of the first period for their lone goal of the night. The first period also saw scoring from Odin Klebba (6) assisted by Kelly Coldwater (15) and Mike Sobaski (15) and Jace Fitzgerald (11) assisted by Hunter O’Neal (6) and Jozef Silhar (4) for a 3-1 lead after the first period. The Power lit the lamp twice in the second from scoring by Odin Klebba (7) assisted by Lucca Weinkauf (19) and Brody Josselyn (19) and Michael Maillette (12) assisted by Jace Fitzgerald (21) and Jozef Silhar (5). The flood gates opened in the third period with 5 different Power players scoring. Goals were tallied by Mike Sobaski (16), Jace Fitzgerald (12, Quinn O’Connor (9), Evan Eisch (3) and Jozef Silhar (1). Tommy Kundinger (2), Drew Sparacino, Odin Kllebba (17,18), Mike Sobaski (17, 18), Kelly Coldwater (16) and Jace Fitzgerald (22) all had assists in the period for the 10-1 final. Adam Prokop earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 22/23 Mustang shots on goal. The Power had 55 shots on goal.
Saturday the first period was scoreless. Michael Maillette scored with just 00.4 seconds remaining in the second period to put the Power on the board 1-0 after two periods of play. He was assisted by Jace Fitzgerald (23) and Kelly Coldwater (17). Evan Eisch (4) started the third period scoring at 15:37 off a Lucca Weinkauf (20) assist. Peoria answered at 12:38 for their only goal of the game Jozef Silhar scored the Power’s third goal at 9:00 off assists from Kelly Coldwater (18) and Jace Fitzgerald (24). Andrew Browe tallied his 23rd goal of the season at 5:59 off assists from Teagan Scheurer (26) and Jackson Hoem (23). Silhar (3) scored his second of the game at 4:53 to round of the scoring on the day. He was assisted by Monte Goold (12) and Brody Josseyln (20). Adam Prokop earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 12/13 Mustangs shots on goal. The Power had 42 shots on goal.
The Culligan Water of West Bend player of the weekend is Jace Fitzgerald.

The Power will travel to Tomah to play the Wisconsin Woodsmen on Friday at 7:15pm and to Wausau to play the Cyclones on Saturday at 7:10pm in the final two games of the regular season.
