The Power returned to Kettle Moraine Ice Center for their first 2-game home series since early September and treated the Power faithful to a sweep of the West Division Alexandria Blizzard, extending their winning streak to eight games. The Power moves to 14-1-0-1 with 29 points in first place in the Central Division.
In Friday’s 4-2 victory, the Power jumped out to a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the game when Adam Sexton tallied his third goal of the season off a Brody Josselyn (4) assist. Bjorn Bahneman scored his first goal as a Power at 5:00 off an assist from Michael Maillette (2) for a 2-0 lead, but Easton Schmidt was able to cut the lead in half with just 15 second in the period for a 2-1 score after the first period. Caleb Waller tied the game for the Blizzard, scoring the only goal of the second period for a 2-2 score after two periods of play. Brody Josselyn (6) gave the Power a lead with a power play goal at 13:08 of the third period. He was assisted by Danny Jurcich (17) and Jackson Hoem (7). Blake Kohnen scored the unassisted game winning goal at 9:04. Alexandria cut the lead to just one on a power play goal with 44 seconds remaining but with their goalie pulled, couldn’t add another and the Power came away with the 4-3 victory. Peter Burke earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 26/28 Blizzard shots on goal. The Power had 34 shots on goal.
The Palermo’s Screamin’ Sicilian Three Stars of the Game were third star Bjorn Bahneman, second star Michael Maillette and first star Brody Josselyn. The Versi-foam Hard Hat Hardest Worker of the game was Danny Jurcich.
Elisa Holan got the scoring started on Saturday with his 6th goal of the season at 8:22 off assists from Brody Josselyn (5) and Andrew Burny (2). Danny Jurcich scored his first goal of the season at 2:05 off assists from Josselyn (6) and Otis Berge (2) for a 2-0 lead after the first period of play, Jace Fitzgerald extended the lead to 3 with his 15th goal of the season, a power play goal, what proved to be the game winning goal at 16:47 off assists from Jackson Hoem (8) and Blake Kohnen (10). Alexandria responded with a Reece Hubner power play goal at 11:31 and a Tyler Meyer goal at 5:53 to pull within one. Kohnen extended the Power lead back to two goal at 3:00 off assist from Josselyn (7) and Bjorn Bahneman (1). There was no scoring in the third period. Peter Burke earned his second win on the weekend, his 7th of the season, stopping 32/34 Blizzard shots on goal. The Power had 29 shots on goal.

All active military and veterans will be admitted free. Stars and Stripes Honor Flight and Camp Hometown Heroes will be part of the weekend celebration.
