Weekend Recap – Power falls to Rochester on the road

The Power traveled to Rochester for a one game weekend and fell to the host Grizzlies 4-1 on Friday at the Rochester Recreation Center.  

There was no scoring in the first period.  Mike Sobaski scored the first goal of the game, his 4th of the season and the Power’s only tally at 10:19 of the second period.  He was unassisted.  Rochester answered at 13:11 and 39.7 to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.  The home team added on at 14:47 of the third and sealed the victory on an empty net goal at 1:17. Rochester outshot the Power 34-23.  Ben Glaseman took the loss in the Power net.

The Power will look to get back in the win column back at Kettle Moraine Ice Center this weekend.  The Power will face the Wausau Cyclones Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm.  Friday is Girl’s Hockey Night and Saturday is Halloween Costume Contest and Trick or Treating sponsored by Culligan Water of West Bend.  Friday all girl skaters get in free, and we encourage you to wear pink to support Girls sports and breast cancer awareness. Saturday anyone in costume gets in free and can compete in a costume contest at first intermission.  There will be a post-game Costume Skate with the Power.  Skate Rental is free.  The Great Outdoors Supper Club will provide pre-game meals both nights. Friday is Fish Fry (2 pieces $12, 3 pieces $15) and Saturday is Poutine Night ($12/plate -cheese curds, fries, gravy).  Food service and bar open at 5:00pm
