The Power faced off with the St. Louis Jr. Blues in the Central Division Semi-finals and came away with two wins for the series sweep to advance to the Central Division finals. Friday the Power treated the packed house at Kettle Moraine Ice Center to a 5-0 victory and Saturday they took game two in St. Louis 3-0. The Power will face the Rochester Grizzlies in the Central Division finals March 19-21.
Friday
There was no scoring in the first period until just 8 seconds on the clock when Danny Jurcich scored a power play goal off assists from Michael Maillette and Blake Kohnen for the 1-0 lead after one period of play. Tristan Heraly scored the Power’s second goal at 19:00 of the second period off assists from Jace Fitzgerald and Hunter O’Neal. Aidan Callaghan added a power play goal at 15:00 off assists from Shaun Paulson and Nolan Mix for a 3-0 lead after two periods. Nolan Mix added a power play goal of his own at 13:08 of the third period off assists from Shaun Paulson and Nathan Antti and Jackson Hoem closed out the scoring on the night with a goal at 11:56 off assists from Danny Jurcich and Quinn O’Connor for the 5-0 final. Sam Ahl earned the shutout victory in the Power net, stopping 30/30 Jr. Blues shots on goal. The Power had 33 shots on goal.
The Palermo’s Screamin’ Sicilian Thee Stars of the Game were third star Shaun Paulson, second star Michael Maillette and first star Sam Ahl. The Versi-foam Hard Hat Hardest Worker of the Game was Otis Berge.
Saturday
The Power hit the road to St. Louis for game two and came away with another shutout win to take the best of three series. There was no scoring in the first period. Aidan Callaghan scored the only goal of the second period at 6:10 off an assist from Mason Wanka. Two Power goals in the third period completed the victory. Quinn O’Connor scored at 11:37 off assists from Mason Wanka and Shaun Paulson and Evan Burchardt sealed the victory with an empty net goal at 1:14. Sam Ahl earned his second shutout victory of the weekend, stopping all 26 St. Louis shots on goal. The Power had 27 shots on goal.

The Power will take on the Rochester Grizzlies in the Central Division Finals for the right to advance to the Fraser Cup in St. Louis. The best of three series will be Thursday, March 19 at Kettle Moraine Ice Center at 7:00pm (NOTE EARLIER START TIME) sponsored by SKB Landscaping. The Great Outdoors Supper Club will be serving Reuben sandwiches beginning at 5:00pm. Game two will be Friday, March 20 at the Rochester Recreation Center at 7:00pm.
