The Power welcomes the Rochester Grizzlies to Kettle Moraine Ice Center for the first time this season. These two teams last faced each other in Rochester in November and split the series; the Power won 4-3 in an overtime shootout and the Grizzlies won a close second game 2-1.
The Power is coming off an overtime victory against the Oregon Tradesmen last Saturday, bringing their record to 12-9-2-1 in 4th place in the Central Division. Rochester is currently in first place in the Central Division at 18-5-0-1 and 37 points.
The Power is led in scoring by Patrick Toomey with 33 points (18 goals/15 assists) and Blake Keller with 25 points (total season) who tallied his first goal in a Power jersey over the weekend, followed by Max Erstad (16), Bryce Garber (14) and Captain Mike Dalaly (12). The Power is expected to split the weekend in net between Brett Holmer (2-1, 2.7 GAA, 0.919 SV%) and Adam Prokop (8-3-2-1, 2.83 GAA, 0.918 SV%).
The Power will need to be prepared in all areas, as Rochester has a loaded roster coming into the series. Offensively the team needs balanced, timely scoring and defensively the Power will need to play disciplined hockey and have strong defensive zone coverage.
