Weekend Preview – Power travels to Wausau for one game match up

The Power travels to Wausau to take on the Cyclones in a one-game match up Friday, December 13 at 7:10pm at Marathon Park.   The game will be broadcast on NA TV.

The Power is currently in first place, having played 24 games with a 16-7-1-0 record and 33 points.  The Cyclones are in second place having played 21 games with a 15-4-2-0 record and 32 points.  The teams have played each other four times to date, all at Kettle Moraine Ice Center, with the Power leading the season series 3-1.  Two of the games were decided in overtime, each team winning one of the extra period match ups.

The Power is coming off a split with the West Division Alexandria Blizzard and the Cyclones are coming off an “off” weekend. The previous weekend the Cyclones split with the St. Louis Jr. Blues.

The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists), Teagan Scheurer with 21 points and Jace Fitzgerald with 20 points.  The Cyclones are led in scoring by Jake Garrow and Connor Dvorak. 

The Power is expected to start Adam Prokop (4-0, 0.750 GAA, .9730%) in goal while the Cyclones are expected to start Tanner Bonjernoor (10-2, 2.33 GAA, .9186%) in net.

“Playing in Wausau is always a great experience, and we’re looking forward to another exciting matchup. We need to come in with a strong mindset, play our best hockey, and secure the points. This will help us carry momentum into the showcase and continue our success,” said Power Associate Head Coach, General Manager Jeremy Ebert.
