The Power will travel to Wausau to take on the Cyclones in a two-game matchup Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 at Marathon Park. Both games are at 7:10pm.
The Power sits in first place in the Central Division at 29-7-2-1 in 39 games played with 61 points. The Cyclones have played 40 games and sit in second place in the Central Division at 27-10-2-1 and 57 points. The two teams have faced each other five times to date this season with the Power winning 4 of the 5 matchups and outscoring the Cyclones 21-8. The most recent meeting between the two teams was in December at Marathon Park where the Power defeated the Cyclones 5-0.
The Power have made some recent roster additions which will strengthen the team’s foundation and fine-tune what has already been working well. Kelly Coldwater was acquired in a trade with St. Louis, Michael Maillette and Jozef Silhar have been acquired from the Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL and Andrew Browe comes to the Power from the Butte Irish
Andrew Browe leads the Power in points, scoring 65 points with Butte. Jackson Hoem has 45 points, Teagan Scheurer has 36 and Mike Sobaski has 26 points. The Cyclones are led in scoring by Jake Garrow and Connor Dvorak. The Power is expected to start Adam Prokop in net both nights. Prokop is 11-0-1-1 with a 1.362 GAA and 0.947 SV%. Wausau is expected to split goaltending duties between Dereck Namlick and Tanner Bonjernoor. Bonjernoor has a 2.50 GAA and .914 SV% and Namlick a 2.91 GAA and .907 SV%.
