The Milwaukee Power will hit the road this weekend as they travel to Wausau to face the Cyclones in a Friday-Saturday matchup at Marathon Park.
The Power secured a playoff spot and is currently in third place in the Central Division with a 27-13-2-1 record. Wausau sits in 5th place in the division with a 13-26-4-0 record. The Power is led in scoring by Patrick Toomey with 58 points (29 goals/29 assists), Blake Keller 51 points (total), Mike Dalaly with 39 points, Max Erstad with 33 points and Bryce Garber with 27 points. Wausau native Adam Prokop will get the start in the Power net. Prokop is 18-4-2-1 this season with a 2.38 GAA and 0.933 SV%. Wausau is led in scoring by Ricky Nelson and Gabe Randel with 41 points each. The Cyclones are likely to split the net between goaltenders Ryan Burket and Collin Lemanski.
“Our approach doesn’t change going into this weekend. Wausau will be a tough opponent as they look to finish their season strong and have many scoring weapons. We need to maintain consistent play in the defensive zone and play disciplined hockey. We need to rely on the habits that have brought us to this point in the season and keep our momentum going as we finish up the regular season and head into the playoffs,” said Power VP Hockey Operations, General Manager Kevin Marion.
Both games are at 7:10pm and will be broadcast on Hockey TV.
