Weekend Preview – Power travels to St. Louis

Sep 18, 2025

The Power will hit the road for the first away series of the season when they head to St. Louis to take on the Jr. Blues in a two-game match up Friday and Saturday at Affton Ice Rink. Friday’s game is at 7:50pm and Saturday’s game is at 6:00pm. The Power’s exclusive road transportation partner is KB Excursions.

The Jr. Blues and Power both have a 2-0 record entering the weekend, as both teams swept the Peoria Mustangs in their opening season series.

The Power is led in scoring by Danny Jurcich with 7 points, Jace Fitzgerald with 5 and Drew Sysko with 3 points.  Fitzgerald and Jurcich were awarded the NA3HL first and second stars of the week for their performance last weekend.  Fitzgerald had 3 goals and two assists while Jurcich had 7 assists in the opening games. Power Head Coach Jason Woods credited Fitzgerald’s leadership and impact, saying, “Jace started the year off with a bang. To be able to score in all three phases of the game, on the penalty kill, power play, and five-on-five, really shows his ability to dominate in multiple ways. The tenacity he attacks practice and games with is a great opportunity and example for our younger guys to see how it’s done each and every day!”  Also making an impact in the opening home series were Andrew Burny and Cole Craft with 2 goals each and Quinn O’Connor with 2 assists on the weekend.

The Jr. Blues, who are returning 17 players back from last year’s team, are led in scoring by Caden Lindley and Joseph Lopiccolo with 5 points each and Jace Jordan with 4 points. St. Louis split time in net between Aaron Siebert and Travis Visvadra in their opening series, with each goaltender picking up a win.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to play St. Louis this weekend.  St. Louis is an experienced team with a lot of guys back, so it will be a good test to see where we sit early in the season,” said Woods.

Both games will be broadcast on NA TV.
