The Milwaukee Power hits the road to Rochester to take on the Grizzlies for the first time this season in a 2-game series at the Rochester Recreation Center.
The Grizzlies are in first place in the Central Division with a 10-2-0 record and the Power is in second place with a 7-5-1-1 record. Both teams are coming off sweeps from last weekend. The Power swept the Cyclones in Wausau, and the Grizzlies swept the Jr. Blues in St. Louis.
The Power is led in scoring by last week’s Central Star of the Week, Patrick Toomey with 18 points (9 goals/9 assists) followed by Max Erstad with 10 points. Rochester is lead in scoring by Spencer Klotz with 17 points and Luke Sawicky with 15 but have many offensive weapons with 4 other players in double digit points.
The Power will need a strong performance on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game and will need to take advantage of scoring opportunities with a shot first mentality.
The Power is expected to split the net between goalies Brett Holmer and Adam Prokop. The Grizzlies will likely split games between Kaleb Bents and Lucas Henderson.
Both Friday and Saturday games are at 7:05pm and will be broadcast on HockeyTV.
The Power returns home next Saturday, November 5 to take on the Oregon Tradesmen at 7:30pm at Kettle Moraine Ice Center for Salute to Veterans Night. All veterans and active military will be admitted free.
