The West Bend Power hits the road for Peoria this weekend to take on the Mustangs Friday, November 1 at 7:00pm and Saturday, November 2 at 6:00pm at the Owens Center.
The Power, 7-4-1-0 is currently tied with Rochester for third place in the Central Division with 15 points. The Mustangs, 1-12-0-0 are in 6th place with 2 points. In the teams’ first meeting this season at Kettle Moraine Ice Center, the Power won 8-1 and 7-0.
The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 16 points, Jace Fitzgerald with 12 points and Teagan Scheurer with 10 points. Colton Cox leads the Mustangs with 11 points and three players, John Martino, Johnny Switzer and Jordan Mini each have 9 points for the Mustangs.
The Power is coming off a split with the Wausau Cyclones and Peoria is coming off a three-game series loss to the St. Louis Jr. Blues. The Mustangs will enter the weekend with a new bench boss, as the team announced the hiring this week of Luke Gruden as the team’s new head coach.
“The trip to Peoria should be a great opportunity to continue to grow as a team as well as get our new guys accustomed to our group. We’re looking forward to seeing what we can do as a team this weekend,” said Power head coach Jason Woods.

The Power returns to home ice Friday and Saturday, November 8-9 to take on the St. Louis Jr. Blues for Military Appreciation Weekend. All active and retired military get in free. The team will be wearing custom jerseys that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefitting Camp Hometown Heroes and Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. The weekend sponsor is Game Day Men’s Health.
