The Power hits the road Friday to Peoria for a two-game series with the Mustangs. Friday’s game is at 7:00pm and Saturday’s puck drop is 6:00pm at the Owens Center.
The Power enters the weekend at 32-2-1-1 with 64 points in first place in the Central Division. The Mustangs are 7-24-2-0 with 16 points in sixth place in the Central Division. The two teams have met four times this season to date with the Power winning all four of the match ups, outscoring the Mustangs 29-8 in the four games. The Power is coming off two wins over Wausau and Rochester. The Mustangs are coming off two 6-3 losses against St. Louis Jr. Blues. The Power has scored 185 goals to date this season to Peoria’s 111. In special teams, the Power is 23.9% on the power play to Peoria’s 18.3% and 85.1% on the penalty kill to Peoria’s 72.1%.
The Power’s leading scorers include Jace Fitzgerald (45 points), Danny Jurcich (43 points), Quinn O’Connor (36 points), Blake Kohnen (35 points) and Drew Sparacino (34 points). The Mustangs are led in scoring by Brendon Miller (43 points), Owen Gruden (40 points) and Wyatt Duke (35 points). The Power goaltenders have a combined 2.14 GAA and a 0.9207 SV%. The Mustangs netminders have a 5.50 GAA and 0.8721 SV%.
