The Power will hit the road for Alexandria, Minnesota to take on the West Division Alexandria Blizzard in a two-game series Friday and Saturday at the Runestone Community Center. The Power is coming off a split with the Rochester Grizzles and the Blizzard is coming off a split with the Wilmar Warhawks and a win over the Minnesota Moose.  Both teams are in second place in their respective divisions. The Power is 15-6-1-0 with 31 points and the Blizzard are 14-7-1-0 with 29 points.

The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists), Teagan Scheurer with 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) and Jace Fitzgerald with 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists).  The Blizzard is led in scoring by Eli Fletcher with 31 points, Ashton Collings with 28 points and Caleb Waller with 25 points.

The Blizzard has a 23.26% on power play goals, 7th best in the league and are 86.52% on penalty kill, 9th in the league.    The Power are 12th in the league on penalty kill at 85.06%.  It looks to be a pretty evenly match series, so the Power will need to be prepared as a team to come away with points in this out-of-division match up.

“We want to continue playing good hockey as we prepare for the upcoming showcase.  This is a long trip and we’re dealing with some injuries and call ups, so we’ll be tested against a good West Division opponent,” said Power Head Coach Jason Woods.

Both games are at 7:10pm and will be broadcast on NA TV.
