The Power hits the road for a three-game weekend, one game in Tomah Friday night and a two-game series in St. Louis Saturday and Sunday.
Friday’s game against the Wisconsin Woodsmen is at 7:15pm at the Tomah Ice Center. Saturday’s game in St. Louis is at 3:30pm and Sunday’s puck drop is 11:40am.at Affton Ice Rink.
The Power currently sits in first place in the Central Division with a 25-7-2-0 record in 34 games with 52 points. Just 8 points separate the top four teams. Tomah is in third place with 45 points and St. Louis is in fifth place with 31 points.
The Power is coming off a weekend sweep of the Peoria Mustangs. Tomah is coming off two losses to the Wausau Cyclones. St. Louis is coming off two losses, one in overtime, to the Rochester Grizzlies. The Power is 2-2 against the Woodsmen this season to date. The Power is 5-1 against the Jr. Blues, with five of the six meetings between the teams ending in overtime.
The Power will be without Oliver Schroeder who is up with the Janesville Jets of the NAHL and Jace Fitzgerald who is up with the Minnesota Mallards of the NAHL. The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 37 points, Teagan Scheurer with 30 points and Lucca Weinkauf with 23 points. The Woodsmen are led in scoring by Hugh Denima and Viktor Budik. The Jr. Blues is led in scoring by Mason Andrew and Eric Denny.
“This is a really tough road trip with a night game in Tomah and an afternoon game in St. Louis. We will have to be mentally and physically tough to overcome this type of a challenge,” said Power Head Coach Jason Woods. “One game at a time focus as we try to secure six points”
