Weekend Preview – Power hosts West Division Alexandria Blizzard

The Power will host the West Division Alexandria Blizzard in a two-game series at Kettle Moraine Ice Center this weekend. Friday is Ice Breaker night where an exciting reveal will take place.  Saturday is Jersey Night where fans are encouraged to wear their favorite jersey.  Both nights are sponsored by Casper’s Truck Equipment

The Great Outdoors Supper Club will be offering pre-game meals before every home game.  Friday is Fish Fry ($14 for 2 pieces and $16 for 3 pieces of fried cod and includes coleslaw, French fries and rye bread) and Saturday is Philly Sandwich Night ($8 Philly or Chicken Sandwich, $3 side of Fries, $8 cheese curds).  Food and beverage service begin at 5:00.

Saturday the Power is supporting the United Way of Washington County.  $5 from all Adult General Admission tickets will be donated back to the United Way.  A great way to cheer on your Power while supporting your community.

The Power is 12-1-0-1 with 25 points and is tied for first place in the Central Division.  The Blizzard is 7-5-1-1 with 16 points in fourth place in the West Division.  The Power is coming off a win over the Wisconsin Woodsmen and the Blizzard is coming off two losses to the undefeated Granite City Lumberjacks.

The Power is led in scoring by Jace Fitzgerald with 25 points, Drew Sparacino with 17 points and Danny Jurcich with 16 points.  The Blizzard is led in scoring by Caleb Waller with 25 points, Grady Stallman with 19 points and Easton Schmitt with 16 points.  The Blizzard ranks first in the league with 100% penalty kill, so the Power will have their work cut out for them on their 16.98% power play.  The Power is 81.54% on the penalty kill.  Alexandria is 21.88% on the power play.  Jayden Serene has played 12 games in the Blizzard net with a 2.652 GAA and a 0.914 SV%.  The Power will have goaltender Ben Glaesman back from injury, while Peter Burke has stepped up to win his past 4 games with a 0.942 SV% and 1.842 GAA.

Puck drop for both games is at 7:3opm and the games will be broadcast on NA TV.
