Weekend Preview – Power hosts Rochester for Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend

The West Bend Power will host the Rochester Grizzlies this weekend in a two-game series at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center Friday and Saturday for Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend. Both games are at 7:30pm.

The Power players will be wearing custom cancer jerseys sponsored by Westbury Bank. Jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefitting Relay for Life Washington County. You can bid on the jerseys HERE through Sunday, February 2 at 10:00pm.  Game day sponsor is Game Day Men’s Health.

Pre-game food from the Great Outdoors Supper Club and bar service will be available starting at 5:00pm both nights. Friday is Stir Fry & Egg Roll Night.  For $15, you’ll get choice of fried or white rice, 2 entrees and an egg roll.  Saturday is RIB Night; $15/plate includes 3/4# baby back ribs with coleslaw and potato or pasta.

The Power is currently in first place in the Central Division at 28-7-2-0 with 58 points in 37 games played.  The Power comes into the series on an 8-game winning streak.  The Grizzlies are in third place in the Central Division 22-10-2-2 with 48 points in 36 games. The Grizzlies are coming into West Bend on a four-game winning streak.  The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 41 points, Teagan Scheurer with 36 points and Mike Sobaski with 26 points. Rochester is led in scoring by Aiden Emerich with 34 points and Noah Gillette with 31 points.  The teams are fairly equal on special teams; Power 81% and Rochester 82% on penalty kill, Power 19.86% and Rochester 17.32% on the power play, Power 28 and Rochester 22 power play goals and Power 6, Rochester 5 shorthanded goals.
