The Power is coming off a weekend split with the Wisconsin Woodsmen and the Mustangs are coming off a sweep by the Wausau Cyclones, who won 5-1 and 6-1 in Peoria. The Power is currently 4-3 and the Mustangs sit at 1-5.
The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 4 goals and 4 assists. Jace Fitzgerald also has 8 points with 2 goals and 6 assists. The Mustangs are led by Andrew Johnson with 3 goals and 4 assists and Johnny Switzer with 2 goals and 4 assists. The Mustangs have split goaltending duties between 4 different netminders.
The Power is looking to rebound of a lackluster 6-2 loss on Saturday night on home ice. “We need to be more mentally prepared this weekend and be ready to perform in back-to-back games,” said Power Assoicate Head Coach/General Manager Jeremy Ebert.
A bright spot in last weekend’s series with the Woodsmen was Quinn O’Connors take away shorthanded goal which earned him the second spot in NA3HL’s top plays of the week. The Power will look to be more aggressive on the offensive end and capitalize on scoring opportunities while looking for solid defensive play.
Both games are at 7:30pm at will be broadcast on NA TV.
