The West Bend Power and the Rochester Grizzlies will face off in a best of three game series with a trip to the Fraser Cup on the line. The Power is coming off a round one series win over the Wisconsin Woodsmen and the Grizzlies are coming off a round one series win over the Wausau Cyclones. The Power won in two games, with both ending in overtime victories. The Grizzlies took game three of the series after splitting the first two match ups with Wausau.
The Power finished the regular season in first place as Central Division Champions with a record of 35-8-2-2 and 74 points. The Grizzlies finished in third place in the Central Divison with a record of 28-14-3-2 and 61 points. The Power and Grizzlies have faced each other 8 times this season, with Rochester leading 5-3 in regular season. The Grizzlies have outscored the Power 21-17 in those eight games. The Grizzlies were led by Aiden Emerich with 46 points and Noah Gillette with 42 points in the regular season. The Power was led by Jackson Hoem with 54 regular season points and Teagan Scheurer with 38 points. Andrew Browe led in total points with 68 points combined scoring with the Butte Irish and Power.
The Power will look to take the momentum from the past two weekends into round two of the Fraser Cup playoffs.

We are playing a Rochester team that looks at this as ‘been there, done that.’ In some ways we are the favorite as the number one seed, and in other ways, the tradition and history puts Rochester in the spotlight,” said Power Head Coach Jason Woods. “Either way, it is really two great teams playing for the right to represent the Central Division and we are excited for this opportunity.”
Friday night there will be a pre-game Fish Fry from the Great Outdoors Supper Club. Enjoy fried cod, French fires, coleslaw and rye bread. $12/2 pieces or $15/3 pieces. Food and pregame beverage service begins at 5:00pm. Game two will be in Rochester on Saturday, March 22 at 7:05pm. Game three, if necessary, will be Sunday, 7:30pm at Kettle Moraine Ice Center. Sunday will include pre-game Sandwich Night – $12 includes pulled pork/chicken or beef sandwich with choice of potato or pasta salad. The winner of the series will advance and represent the Central Division at the Fraser Cup championship in St. Louis March 26-30. All games will be broadcast on NA TV.
