This weekend the Milwaukee Power will face the Oregon Tradesmen in a home and away series that could prove to be a first-round Fraser Cup playoff preview. Friday’s game is at the Oregon Ice Arena and Saturday the Power will be home at Kettle Moraine Ice Center for Fan and Billet Appreciation Night sponsored by DNA Hemp and Melick Law, LLC.
The Power sits in third place in the Central Division and Oregon is tied with the Rochester Grizzlies for first place. The Power will take on the second-place team and the first-place team will face the fourth place Peoria Mustangs in a best of 3 series next weekend, March 9-12, in the first round of the Central Division Fraser Cup playoffs. Rochester will face St. Louis in a 2-game series to wrap up the season. Game dates, times and locations will be announced after the weekend.
The Power is lead in scoring by Patrick Toomey with 60 points and Blake Keller with 57 points, followed by Mike Dalaly (42 points), Max Erstad (36 points) and Bryce Garber (28 points). Oregon is led in scoring by Bryce Stensrud and Max Rotsaert. Adam Prokop will get the start in the Power net. Prokop is 20-4-2-1 with a 2.28 GAA and 0.934 SV%. Oregon leads the season meetings to date 4-2 with a 23-18 goal differential.
Both games are at 7:30pm and will be broadcast on Hockey TV.
