The Power will face off against two different opponents this weekend as they take on the Wausau Cyclones Friday on home ice at Kettle Moraine Ice Center and travel to Rochester, MN to take on the Grizzlies Saturday at the Rochester Recreation Center. Friday is WHITE OUT night at KMIC sponsored by Nature’s Care Chem-Dry benefitting the United Way of Washington County. $5 from every $10 adult general admission ticket will be donated back to the United Way. Fans are encouraged to wear white. The first 250 fans will receive a rally towel compliments of Nature’s Care Chem-Dry. The pre-game meal with the Great Outdoors Supper Club is “Pasta Night.” Fans can enjoy pasta with alfredo, red sauce or red sauce with meatballs for $12.
The Power enters the weekend at 29-2-1-1 with 60 points in first place in the Central Division. Wausau and Rochester are tied for second place at 18-12-1-0 with 37 points each. The Power is 5-0 against both teams to date this season. The Power has scored 178 goals while allowing 81. The Power goaltenders have a combined 0.918 GAA and a 0.9178 SV%. The Power’s special teams are 25.00% on the power play and 84.03% on the penalty kill. Wausau is 17.78% on the power play and Rochester is 29.09%. Wausau is 84.31% on the penalty kill and Rochester is 77.98%. The Power’s scoring leaders include Jace Fitzgerald (44), Danny Jurcich (41), Drew Sparacino and Blake Kohnen (34) and Quinn O’Connor (33). Jackson Schroeder leads the Cyclones in scoring with 45 points. Mason Decker leads the Grizzlies in scoring with 44 points.
“Wausau and Rochester are tough challenges. This weekend is a great opportunity to keep our momentum going, with a home game Friday and our final trip to Rochester on Saturday. With new players joining the lineup, it will be a strong test of how quickly they fit into our systems,” said Power assistant coach Paul Graef.
Friday’s game at Kettle Moraine Ice Center is at 7:30pm and Saturday’s game at Rochester Recreation Center is at 7:00pm. Both games will be broadcast on NA TV.
