Weekend Preview – Power at home versus St. Louis for Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend

The Milwaukee Power welcomes the St. Louis Jr. Blues to Kettle Moraine Ice Center for the second time this season and final meeting between the two teams, with the Power leading the season match ups to date 5-1. The Power is coming off a sweep with the Peoria Mustangs and is now 25-13-2-1 in third place in the Central Division.

The Power is led in scoring by Patrick Toomey with 58 points (29 goals/29 assists), Blake Keller with 46 (total) points, Mike Dalaly with 35 points and Max Erstad with 32 points. The Jr. Blues are lead in scoring by Jacob Heuerman with 22 points.

The Power will be starting Brett Holmer in goal, as Adam Prokop has been called up to the Austin Bruins of the NAHL.  The Power has relied on strong goaltending all season, and this weekend will be no different against a young and energetic St. Louis team.

This weekend is Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend in support of the American Cancer Society. Friday is our final Skate with the Power night sponsored by US Cellular West Bend. Fans can bring their skates or rent for free at Kettle Moraine Ice Center and skate with the Power players after the game. Fans will receive a rally towel compliments of US Cellular. It is also West Bend School District Night where all students and staff get in for $1. The West Bend Hight School Brass, Wind and Fire Band will be playing.

Saturday is our annual Teddy Bear Toss Night sponsored by Jones for Judge. Please bring new teddy bears to throw on the ice when the Power scores their first goal. Teddy bears will be donated to the Slinger Police Department, the Ronald McDonald House and the Family Promise of West Bend. There will be performances by the Kettle Moraine Figure Skating Club both Friday and Saturday nights.
