Weekend Preview – Power at home to take on Peoria Mustangs

The Power returns home to Kettle Moraine Ice Center to face the Peoria Mustangs in a 2-game series Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm.

Friday is Autism Acceptance Night sponsored by US Cellular West Bend supporting the Autism Society of SE Wisconsin.  The SHAW Pirates Special Hockey team will be skating at intermission on Friday.  Saturday is NICU Night benefitting the Ronald McDonald House and March of Dimes sponsored by Kewaskum Family Dentistry.  Fans who bring a donation for the Ronald McDonald House or March of Dimes receive $5 admission.  Donation requests include $10-$15 Gift Cards from Amazon or Target, newborn Gifts (Sound Machines, Sensory Stuffed Animals, Stuffed Animal Blankets) or Books for Babies (new or gently used children’s books).  The Power’s team fundraising page for the Ronald McDonald House is HERE.

Pre-game meals will be provided by the Great Outdoors Supper Club.  Friday is Pasta Night with spaghetti or lasagna and bread for $12/plate. Saturday is Supper Club Night with choice of carved Ham ($20) or Prime Rib ($25) with baked potato and veggies.  Pre-game food and bar begin at 5:00pm.

This will be a battle of the first and sixth teams in the Central Division.  The Power has won the four meetings with the Mustangs this season to date, outscoring the Mustangs 27-4.  The Power is coming off a weekend sweep of the St. Louis Jr. Blues.  Both victories came in overtime games. The Mustangs are coming off a split with the Wisconsin Woodsmen and have gone 6-5 since the showcase.  The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 35 points and Teagan Scheurer with 29 points.  The Mustangs are led in scoring by Colten Cox with 44 points and Wyatt Duke with 36 points. 

“We need to focus on building confidence, staying disciplined, and maintaining a positive attitude this weekend and for the rest of the season. Playing smart and staying focused will help us pick up valuable points and get in a good rhythm as the playoffs draw closer,” said Power Associate Head Coach, General Manager Jeremy Ebert.
