The West Bend Power’s November home stand continues this weekend as the Rochester Grizzlies travel to West Bend on Friday and the Wisconsin Woodsmen come to Kettle Moraine Ice Center Saturday. Friday is Washington County Humane Society Night sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus West Bend. Anyone donating an item to the Humane Society (Wish List HERE) will receive $5 admission. Saturday is the popular SKATE WITH THE POWER Night sponsored by Alpha Custom Apparel. The first 500 fans on Saturday will receive a Lynch Buick GMC of West Bend stress reliever puck. Fans can bring skates or rent them for free at KMIC and skate with the Power players after the game.
It’s sure to be an exciting weekend in West, Bend, as just 4 points separate the three teams. The Woodsmen (11-5-1-1) are currently in second place with 24 points, the Power (11-4-1-0) is in third place with 23 points and Rochester (9-5-2-0) is in fourth place with 20 points. The Power is coming off a sweep of the St. Louis Jr. Blues. Rochester and the Woodsmen faced each other last weekend, splitting the series with a 5-2 Rochester win Friday and a Woodsmen 7-3 victory Saturday.
The Power is led in scoring by Jackson Hoem with 22 points and Jace Fitzgerald with 16 points. Teagan Schuerer has tallied 13 points. The Grizzlies are led in scoring by Noah Gillette with 15 points and Noah Joyce with 14 points. The Woodsmen are led in scoring by Hugh Deinema with 29 points and Nolan Mix with 25 points. Tristen May-Robertson has 16 points on the defensive end.
“We are looking forward to a hard-fought weekend. Obviously, it’s a tough challenge playing two strong teams so we will need to bring high energy and strong commitment to each other and be willing to do battle. We do those three components, and we’ll give ourselves a great chance of success” said Power head coach Jason Woods.
Both games are at 7:30pm and will be broadcast on NA TV.
