Weekend Preview – Power and Tomah face off in home and home series

Oct 2, 2025

The Power and the Wisconsin Woodsmen will face each other for the first time this season in a home and home series.  Friday’s 7:15 game is in Tomah at the Tomah Ice Center and Saturday the Power returns home to Kettle Moraine Ice Center to face the Woodsmen in a 7:30 match up.

Saturday is First Responder’s Night sponsored by Westbury Bank.  All first responders will receive free admission.  The pre-game food offering with The Great Outdoors Supper Club is Wing Night.  For $10 you’ll get 8 boneless or 9 bone-in wings with your flavor choice of buffalo, BBQ, honey garlic, teriyaki or jerk flavor.  A side of fries is $3.  Food and beverage service begin at 5:00pm.

The Power is currently 5-1 and coming off a sweep of the Wausau Cyclones, and the Woodsmen, 1-5 are coming off a 2-loss weekend to the Granite City Lumberjacks.  Jace Fitzgerald was named the Central Division First Star of the Week, his second time this season for his performance against the Cyclones.  Brody Josselyn was named the second star of the week.  Fitzgerald leads the team in scoring with 12 points on the early season (9 goals, 3 assists).  Danny Jurcich and Josselyn follow Fitzgerald, with 9 and 8 points, respectively.

The Woodsmen, who are replacing their top three age-out players from last season, are led in scoring by Maxim Lazo with 6 points and Brandon Slazar with 5 points. Disciplined play and special teams will look to be a factor in the series.  The Power is first in the division on the power play at 28.57%.  The Woodsmen are 6.9% on the power play.  The Power is at 89.74% on the penalty kill compared to the Woodsmen 70.83%.

“Our guys are excited for the chance to take on Tomah. We know they’ll come ready to play after a tough battle with Granite City last weekend. We’re excited to keep building momentum and growing together as a team, and we’re excited to get back in front of our fans at KMIC,” said Power assistant coach Paul Graef.

Both games will be broadcast on NA TV
