Weekend Preview – Oregon travels to West Bend

Nov 4, 2022

The Milwaukee Power will face the Oregon Tradesmen in a one game matchup this Saturday at Kettle Moraine Ice Center for Salute to Veterans Night.

The Tradesmen lead the series 2-0 after beating the Power 3-0 and 5-4 in a shootout in October in a home and away series.

The Power is 2-2 in its last 4 games after being swept last weekend on the road in Rochester and sweeping the Cyclones in Wausau the weekend prior.  The Power is led by Patrick Toomey with 20 points (10 goals/10 assists) followed by Max Erstad with 10 and points and Connor O’Neal (IR) with 9.

The Power continues to show solid goaltending in the net in Adam Prokop and Brett Holmer.  Prokop is 4-3-1-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .916 save percentage.  Brett Holmer is 0-1 after his first NA3HL start against the Rochester Grizzlies with a 2.07 GAA and a .933 save percentage. Spencer Northway is currently up playing in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers.

Oregon swept the Wausau Cyclones last weekend and was swept by the Peoria Mustangs in their last two series. Oregon is led in scoring by Nathan Walker, Jordan Larkee and Bryce Stensrud.

The Power will need to take advantage of scoring opportunities and play disciplined hockey to stay out of the box to grab two points this weekend on home ice.

“This weekend is another big opportunity to grow and improve as an organization while we compete against one of the top teams in in the division in Oregon.   Games like this will help us to be better players individually and collectively.  We need to step on the ice prepared to play our best hockey,” said Power Head Coach, Assistant General Manager John Mitchell.

Game time is 7:30pm at Kettle Moraine Ice Center and will be broadcast on Hockey TV.   All active military and veterans will be admitted free for our Salute to Veterans.  Game day sponsor is Saloon Royale, West Bend.
