The Milwaukee Power welcomes the Rochester Grizzlies back to Kettle Moraine Ice Center for second time and final regular season meeting for these two teams for a Saturday-Sunday match up. Rochester leads the series to date 4-2 after last splitting with the Power at Kettle Moraine Ice Center in December.
The Power is coming off a split with Wausau and is now 19-11-2-1 in fourth place. The Grizzlies are 23-7-2-2 and tied with the Oregon Tradesmen for first place. Only nine points separate the top four teams in the Central Division.
The Power is led in scoring by Patrick Toomey with 46 points (24 goals/22 assists), Blake Keller with 35 (total) points, Max Erstad (29 points) and Mike Dalaly (22 points). The Grizzlies are led in scoring by Spencer Klotz (32 points), Owen Van Tassel (28 points) and Austin Meers (26 points). The Power is expected to start goaltender Adam Prokop in the Power net.
The Power looks to get back in the win column after a final-minute loss to Wausau on Sunday, breaking the team’s 7 game winning streak.
“We’re going up against a top team in the tough Central Division, so our players need to come in focused and ready to play their best hockey and the way we’ve been playing since December. We need to play disciplined hockey this weekend, as penalties proved to be the difference maker in our loss last weekend,” said Milwaukee Power Head Coach, Assistant General Manager John Mitchell.
Saturday’s game is at 6:00pm and is Scout and Youth Hockey Night. All girl and boy scouts in uniform get in free. Sunday afternoon happy hour puck drop is at 12:15 and includes $4 beer specials.
Game Day sponsor is BlondiePop West Bend.
