The Power is coming off a winning weekend after clinching the Central Division Championship with a victory over the Woodsmen on Friday and a franchise record 35th win on Saturday in Wausau over the Cyclones. The Woodsmen are coming off a split weekend, losing to the Power Friday and beating the Rochester Grizzlies on Saturday in Rochester. The Power leads the season series with the Woodsmen 6-2. The Power has scored 44 goals, averaging 7.3 goals per game in the last six games and have allowed just 11 goals in those games. The team has seen a balanced scoring effort with 16 Power players scoring these 44 goals. The Power will look to carry that momentum into the playoffs as well as continue with a team-first mentality.
“We’re looking forward to the playoffs. We battle through 6 plus months and 47 games to get to these moments,” said Power Head Coach Jason Woods. “I am excited to see these guys take advantage of the opportunities in front of us.”
LOOK AHEAD
If the Power advances this weekend in round one, they will play the winner of the Rochester Grizzlies and Wausau Cyclones series. Home games at Kettle Moraine Ice Center will be Friday, March 21 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 23 at noon (if necessary). Road game to either Rochester or Wausau will be Saturday, March 22.
