The Wausau Cyclones and the Milwaukee Power will face off for the first time this season at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in West Bend.
The Power currently sits in third place with a 2-3-1 record after splitting with Peoria last weekend, while Wausau is in fourth place with a 2-2 record after sweeping St. Louis on the road.
The Power is led in scoring by Max Erstad with 6 points and Bryce Garber and Max Mudge with 5 points each.
The young Power needs to focus on cleaning up the defensive zone, rely on strong goaltending and find a more balanced offensive presence to gain points in this home series. The Power also needs to play disciplined hockey, as penalties have proven to be a difference maker in the losses to date this season.
Wausau is a strong organization and brings many experienced 02s on their roster, so the Power needs to be prepared when they step on the ice. The Cyclones have new leadership on the bench this season in head coach Nathan Oystrick. The Cyclones are led in scoring by Gabe Randel.
“We need to be prepared and be on our best game every night in this strong Central Division,” said Power VP Hockey Operations, General Manager Kevin Marion.
Friday is First Responders Night. All first responders will be admitted free and recognized during the game. Saturday is Washington County Humane Society Night.
