The Power make their first ever free agent signing and it comes long distance. Maris Graudins is a forward from Latvia and was highly touted after the European NAHL combine. Graudins had many offers inside the NA3HL but ultimately chose to sign with Milwaukee because of the philosophies, the culture, and the hockey operations to help develop him into a NAHL caliber player. The Powers second signing is also a young one being a 2000 so he will have plenty of time to hone his game stateside. Chase Ernst, Vice President of Hockey, had this to say, “Maris is a tremendously talented, highly-skilled forward, who has proven point production the past three seasons in some of the most elite amateur leagues in Latvia. Coming out of the NAHL European Combine he was a very highly touted player and someone I knew immediately we wanted to bring to Milwaukee. Fortunately for us because of his duel US/Latvia citizenship he does not count against our two-import player cap which made him all the more enticing to sign as a free agent. I fully expect Maris to bring an entertaining, creative style of play to the Power and be an integral piece of our puzzle as we continue to build our roster for the upcoming season.” Watch the 1 on 1 with Maris on Power TV
