West Bend, WI – The West Bend Power welcome the Peoria Mustangs back home to the Kettle Moraine Ice Center for two games this Thanksgiving weekend. The Power meet with the Mustangs Friday, November 24 and Saturday November 25, with puck drop for both games at 7:30pm CST. The Kundinger Fluid Power Player of the Weekend is Brooks Barofksy, who stopped 27 of 28 shots during the 4-2 win on November 18 in Peoria.
This weekend is 80s weekend so come dressed in your best 80s look and get ready for some 80s fun! Friday is Stop Hunger Night benefitting the West Bend Full Shelf Food Pantry and Saturday is TDS Skate with the Power Night sponsored by The Outbreak and TDS Telecom. Friday, fans will receive $5 admission with donation of non-perishable food items. Saturday the first 250 fans will receive a free TDS Telecom Fiberoptic Light Up Wand and can skate with the players after the game. Free skate rental Saturday.

The West Bend Power’s made their win streak nine on November 18 by a score of 2-1 but received their first loss in nearly a month the following afternoon 4-2.
Head Coach Jason Woods is ready for the team to reset at home after two weekends on the road, while acknowledging the success of the nine-game streak. “We are ready to play a home series in West Bend after being on road for a couple weekends,” said Woods. “We had a nice run of victories but lost that so it’s definitely a good feeling to restart at home.”
Woods also noted that the team drop their loss in Peoria and continue their style of games. “It’s important we wash that last game away and get back to playing complete games,” Woods added.
Across the Aisle
Remaining in 5th place in the Central Division, the Peoria Mustangs improved their record by splitting last weekend’s series with West Bend. The Mustangs now have 12 points and snapped their six-game skid on when they beat the Power 4-2 on November 19. Peoria Mustangs look to continue chipping away at their 5-13-2 record.
Peoria significantly improved their offense last weekend versus West Bend the Mustangs doubled their goal total versus the Power going into this past series from three goals to eight. The scoring was spread out as well, with four different Mustang players scoring the five weekend goals.
Penalty issues still remain for Peoria, racking up 58 penalty minutes during their previous two games. The Mustangs also lead the Central division with 347 penalty minutes in 20 games played this season.
Travis Visvadra elevated his play in goal, saving 38 of 40 shots faced during his win on November 19. Kason Yamada is the Mustangs’ save percentage leader with 0.920 through 9 games played.
