Record Breaking Weekend In Evansville

Nov 16, 2018

The Power went down to Evansville last weekend for a three game series against the Jr. Thunderbolts and what a weekend it was as Milwaukee re-wrote the record books.

To start the weekend off, Milwaukee scored 25 goals in the first game to set a new team record. Jake Berry added two more records as he put up 12 assists in the contest and a total of 13 points, which were both new individual game records for a player. Chuck Bay recorded the first hat-trick in Power history but wasn't the only Power to light the lamp three times as Ben Beversdorf, Mason Evans, Ivan Bilyy, and Ethan Dabbs registered hat-tricks as well. Ben Beversdorf set a Power goals record for a single game by putting five in the back of the Thunderbolts net. The third line rookies found some success too as John Kosa scored his first two goals of his Junior career and Brady Rossbach got his first two points on assists. Garrett Formhals also scored his first NA3 point with an assist. To cap off the first game Taven Santucci registered his first win of the season in his first start only letting in one goal. The second game was not as lopsided as the first with the final score being 10-3 with the Power coming out on top. Jake Berry and Chuck Bay led the scoring for the Power with five points or more apiece. Matt Bilsborough got his first start and win of the season letting up three goals.

The final game of the weekend was a 9-2 win for the Power as they completed the three game sweep. Logan Geisness led the scoring for Milwaukee with two goals and two assists. Santucci got his second win of the year after stopping 19 of 21 shots.

Coming Up Next
The Power face two more Central Division opponents this weekend in the Wisconsin Whalers on Saturday at 7:30PM and the Peoria Mustangs on Sunday at 4:00PM. Every point counts in a tight division race but also the standings after Thanksgiving determine who teams will face in the December NA3HL Showcase so the better your record the better teams you face in Blaine, Minnesota. If the Power win out through the month of November, they will reach 20 wins at the halfway point of the season and continue to hold the top spot in the Central heading into December.

Don't forget to come out and support the Power as they look to stay red hot and on top of the division this weekend.
