The Power will play their final home game of December tomorrow against the Tradesmen at 3:30PM. The last time these two teams met it was for a three game series in mid November. Despite getting swept in the three-game series, Milwaukee played better than their previous matchup with Oregon. The Power lost by three on night one, but merely had a one-point deficit in games two and three.
The Tradesmen are currently on an eleven-point streak. Oregon gained three points at the beginning of November in a split series against the St. Louis Jr. Blues. The Tradesmen won in overtime in game one and lost in a shootout in game two. They’ve won every game since, which includes the series against the Power. Towards the end of November, Oregon swept the Wausau Cyclones in two games and pulled out another win against them this past weekend. The Tradesmen have been on home ice since Nov. 12, making Friday their first road game since the series against Milwaukee.
The Power have lost their last three games, which all took place last week. The previous weekend, Milwaukee split their series against the Peoria Mustangs, picking up a long-awaited win. On Dec. 1, Rochester came to town for a single game against the Power and recorded a 3-0 shutout. Milwaukee played another series against the Mustangs that same weekend, but unfortunately were unable to beat them. However, the Power nearly outplayed Peoria in the second game, forcing an overtime and gaining a point.
Although Oregon has proven to be a tough competitor, the Power have been fighting hard and hope to shake things up for the Tradesmen on Milwaukee’s home ice. Friday’s game will be the Power’s last game on home ice until Jan. 7. The team will head to Blaine, Minnesota on Dec. 20 for the 2021 NA3HL Showcase. The Power will be playing three teams outside of the Central Division from the 20th to the 22nd, which will be their last games of 2021.
