The Milwaukee Power has signed veteran goaltender Spencer Northway for the 2022-23 season.
Northway, a 2002 Ankeny, IA native played in 31 games for the Power in the 2021-22 season with a GAA of 3.20.
“Excited would be an understatement to have Spencer back locking down our net. He is driven to get a collegiate NCAA D3 opportunity, and I believe he will get that opportunity if he performs the way he did this year for the Power. You can’t win consistently or compete in this division if you don’t have a lock-down goalie, and that is what we have in Spencer Northway,” said Power VP Hockey Operations, General Manager Kevin Marion.
“Spencer Northway is an elite goaltender in this league, and we could not be more excited retaining his talent, leadership, and character. He was a Top Prospects nomination last season for the Power, as well as a finalist for our team MVP, only to be edged out by recent NCAA commit, Mason Ausmus. He will give us an opportunity to win every game he’s in between the pipes,” said John Mitchell, Power Head Coach, Assistant General Manager.
Welcome back to the Power, Spencer.
