The Milwaukee Power are proud to announce the signing of Rum River Mallards goaltender Austin Bartell for the upcoming season.
Austin is the third goalie the Power have signed and he brings Junior hockey experience to the group with 56 regular and post season games combined in the USPHL Premier.
“Austin is a seasoned, veteran goaltender who brings a tremendous work ethic and compete level to our roster,” said Kevin Marion, Power General Manager. “He consciously chose to sign with us as a free agent to finish his Junior career and we are thrilled to have him. We are expecting good things from Austin this season.”
The battle for who will be in net this season will be one to watch and an important part in the Power’s hunt for the post season. It will take all phases coming together in a strong Central Division to have success but the goaltending could be the biggest difference maker to keep Milwaukee in the tight games to give the rest of the team the spark.
