After falling to the Oregon Tradesmen in a three-game series last weekend, the Power head to Rochester, Minnesota for two games against the Grizzlies. The two teams played a single game at the end of September, where Rochester handed the Power their first loss of the season. Towards the end of October, the Grizzlies headed back to Milwaukee for a two-game series. The Power came up only two goals short the first game but were unable to score the following afternoon.
Rochester is currently on a three-game winning streak after sweeping the St. Louis Jr. Blues this past weekend. The Grizzlies and Blues played two games, with St. Louis scoring two goals total and Rochester scoring a whopping 15. While this may seem impressive, St. Louis has only been able to record four wins this season, so it’s no surprise Rochester pulled out two wins. The Grizzlies also sit in first place in the Central Division standings and sit tied for second place for the entire NA3HL. They have only lost once this season, which was against the Wausau Cyclones on Nov. 5.
Before playing the Tradesmen, the Power had come off the previous weekend with an overtime win against Peoria. Unfortunately, Milwaukee was swept and currently finds themselves on a three-game losing streak. On Thursday night, the Power lost by three; however, they only had a one-goal deficit on both Friday and Saturday. Despite the three goal loss, the Power were quick to improve their gameplay on the road in Oregon.
Milwaukee still sits only one point ahead of the Jr. Blues in the division standings. The Power hope to create a bigger gap between themselves and St. Louis, but with the Grizzlies nearly undefeated this season, they’ll definitely have to work for a win. Both games will be held in Rochester on Nov. 19th and 20th and begin at 7:05 CST. They will be available to stream Hockey TV, so make sure not to miss it!
