Power Selects 5 players in NA3HL Draft

Apr 25, 2024

The West Bend Power participated in the 2024 NA3HL Draft to kick off the 2024-25 season, selecting five players.

The Power’s first pick was in the fourth round, overall pick #46 and drafted Carson Guase, forward from Team Wisconsin.  The Power’s second pick, #62 overall was Jackson Hoem, forward from Team Wisconsin.  The third pick, #108 overall was Trace Shumlas, defenseman from Milwaukee Jr. Admirals AAA U18. The fourth pick, #127 overall was Grant Lucas, forward from Bay Reps Area, and the final pick, #129 overall was Jacob Barth, forward from the Madison Capitals AAA.

The draft allowed the Power to add to the 20 signed tenders and build the roster going into the 24-25 season.  “We have a good mixture of forwards and defensemen with our tenders, so we went into the draft looking for the best players available.  Forwards were a bit more of a priority for us, but we wanted to look for the best players available at the time.  We are really pleased with the players we selected and look forward seeing them here in August,” said Head Coach Jason Woods.

Coach Woods added that West Bend has become a destination for players.  “In talking to players over the past months and again in Columbus at the combine, the energy for the West Bend Power is real, it’s good, and it’s exciting.  We’re on the map as a place players want to come and play.”

The Power will hold a Coaches Camp June 28-29 for players interested in showcasing their talents to be scouted by our coaches.  The camp is open to 2004-2008 players and will be held at Kettle Moraine Ice Center. Each player is guaranteed 3 games. At the conclusion of the 3 games, there will be ONE All-Star game.  Cost is $250/player. Sign up now at the link below:
