This past weekend, the Power faced the Oregon Tradesmen for a single game on the road. Despite an early lead, the Power fell hard to the Tradesmen and lost by eight. Looking to recover from the rough game, Milwaukee is back home this weekend to play their first series of the year against the Peoria Mustangs. The teams are scheduled to meet a total of four series throughout the season.
Milwaukee trails Peoria in the Central Division standings by three points. So far, both teams have played 12 games this season, with the Power winning four and the Mustangs winning five. However, Peoria recorded a couple extra points from going into overtime twice this year.
Like the Power, the Mustangs are also coming off a tough weekend. The team faced the undefeated Rochester Grizzlies and only scored two goals the entire weekend. Peoria has been on the road since Oct. 15th and will be continuing their travels when they visit Milwaukee this weekend. It won’t be until Nov. 19th when the Mustangs will be back on home ice.
The Power haven’t been able to pull out a win since they played the Jr. Blues on Oct. 9th. The team has continuously been outshot by their opponents and struggle to limit the amount of penalties they take each game. However, with Milwaukee and Peoria sitting next to each other in the Central Division standings, this weekend may be the time for the Power to get back on track.
Milwaukee and Peoria will begin their series on Friday, Nov. 5th at 7 p.m. and meet again on Saturday, Nov. 6th at 4:30 p.m. Friday’s game is the Power’s Humane Society Night; if you’ll be in attendance, we encourage you to bring your pet to the game! Saturday’s game is the Power’s Medical Responders Night, where we’ll be honoring the first responders in Ozaukee County. For anyone who can’t make it, the games will be available to stream on Hockey TV!
