The Power was able to break the streak against Oregon Saturday night at the Oregon Ice Center with a 5-4 overtime victory.
Oregon jumped out to an early lead with a Bryce Senstrud goal at the :58 mark and a Max Rostaert goal at 4:46 mark of the first. Max Erstad got the Power on the board at the 7:41 mark off an assist from Luke Nemeth. Oregon added another at the 11:31 mark taking a 3-1 lead into the second period.
The second period scoring belonged to the Power. Blake Keller scored off a beautiful pass from Patrick Toomey at the 7:37 mark and Bryce Garber scored off an assist by Tyler Perkins at the 12:37 mark tying the game going into the third.
Riley Planey gave the Power their first lead of the night with a hard shot off assists from Zach Wolverton and DJ Gooley a the 3:13 mark. Oregon answered at the 7:27 mark and the game was forced to overtime.
Oregon was served a hooking minor :33 seconds into overtime to give the Power the man advantage and they capitalized.
Mike Dalaly got a shot past Oregon goalie Tyler Fromholz off a feed from Patrick Toomey to seal the Power victory.
Adam Prokop got the win in goal as he made 39 saves.
The Kundinger Power Players of the weekend go to Mike Dalaly for his overtime winning goal and Blake Keller who had his first goal in a Power jersey and assist on the night.
The Power returns home this weekend to face the Rochester Grizzlies for a two-game series Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm at Kettle Moraine Ice Center. It is Gingerbread House weekend where we will be collecting items for the Youth and Family Project Santa’s Workshop. List of suggested items below, and anyone donating will receive $5 admission.
