“We are very happy with our draft. We had players on our board that went to other teams, so I am proud of our staff for compiling a comprehensive list of high-quality players. Our draft is intriguing because the players drafted all have NAHL potential and some are already NAHL tendered. We provide that security for these players to go for the NAHL roster but if a spot isn’t available for them, our team is a great fit. Our players will garner a lot of ice time, a structured on- and off-ice schedule and preparation needed if those NAHL teams come calling,” said Power VP Hockey Operations, General Manager Kevin Marion. “We focused 5 of our 6 picks on forwards as we are looking to replace a bunch of points from our departing 2002 age-outs. It will be an interesting summer watching all of our players pursue NAHL opportunities, but welcome them back in August for our camp if the NAHL doesn’t work out,” added Marion.
Amateur players less than 21 years of age on December 31, 2023, who are not listed on an NA3HL team roster or are listed on an NA3HL team roster but played less than (10) NA3HL regular season and/or playoff games during the 2022-23 season and did not accept a tender from an NA3HL team prior to the 2023 NA3HL Entry Draft are eligible for selection in the draft.
