The 2022 NA3HL was held on Wednesday, April 20. The Power went into the four-round draft with seven overall picks, looking to add to an already established, promising roster built on returners and tender signings.
“Overall, we are very happy with our selections. We made our team better and that is the most important part of the draft. We put tremendous value into the draft. We communicate with high school, AAA and NAHL coaches and we do our homework on players,” said Power Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kevin Marion.
The Power’s first draft choice was in Round 1, the 12th overall pick, and the Power selected Defenseman Nick Troutwine from Rockridge, MN High School. The rest of the Power’s draft looks like this:
ROUND 2
46th overall – Goalie Adam Prokop from Team Wisconsin U18
55th overall – Forward DJ Gooley from L’Anse Creuse Unified, Michigan High School
ROUND 3
80th overall – Forward Tommy Crain, Team Illinois U18
ROUND 4

“Milwaukee Power management is extremely encouraged with the 2022 draft results. The staff worked countless hours organizing a talented, hardworking, and deep class. With the addition of this draft class, 14 tenders, and the return of a great veteran core, we have high expectations for our athletes and organization. It’s an exciting time here in Milwaukee,” said Power Head Coach, Assistant General Manager John Mitchell.
