The 2022 NA3HL Entry Draft will take place April 20, 2022, at 1pm (central). The Power is holding a Draft Party at King Pin Bowl and Ale House, 1022 S. Main Street, West Bend.
“The Milwaukee Power intends to draft players that will fill our roster later in the year after NAHL camps and NAHL rosters are selected and finalized, said Kevin Marion, Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. “We’ve had a great spring, signing 15 players to tender contracts. We could have up to 15-17 returning players so we are poised for success this season. We additionally have 7 draft picks and we’re looking to fill those slots with the best upside potential for our roster,” added Marion.
The Power staff is optimistic they will have an extremely strong, competitive roster with the early combination of returners and tenders and upcoming draft picks.
“We’re looking to add to an already well-established roster in this year’s draft,” said Matt Roadhouse, Director of Player Development. “We have an extensive draft board put together by our staff with both local and national talent options, and we’re excited to add some of these names to the Power roster,” added Roadhouse.
Filling all positions with top talent is key to the Power’s goal of being a top contender in the division.
“I always look to build from our net out in establishing solid goaltending, upgrading our defense and establishing powerful forwards, which will be our key for success in this tough central division,” said Marion.
The NA3HL Entry Draft is scheduled to be broadcast with live round-by-round coverage on HockeyTV, official broadcast partner of the NA3HL. You can watch the Power picks at they are selected on the Milwaukee Power social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) or live at King Pin Bowl and Ale House from 1:00 -3:00. A Power Happy Hour will follow the draft from 3:00 – 6:00 at King Pin.
NA3HL DRAFT DETAILS:
Amateur players less than 21 years of age on December 31, 2022, who are not listed on an NA3HL team roster or are listed on an NA3HL team roster but played less than (10) NA3HL regular season and/or playoff games during the 2021-22 season and did not accept a tender from an NA3HL team prior to the 2022 NA3HL Entry Draft are eligible for selection in the draft.
The NA3HL Entry Draft consists of four (4) rounds. Each eligible NA3HL Club shall be entitled to one selection per round unless it has acquired or lost selections due to approved trades with other NA3HL Clubs. Eligible teams shall make selections in each round in reverse order of their finish (winning percentage) in the 2021-22 NA3HL regular-season standings.
