September 26, 2022, West Bend, WI – The Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL is proud to announce an affiliate agreement with the Northeast Generals of the NAHL.
“We are beyond excited that the Northeast Generals management staff has picked Milwaukee to be one of their three affiliate organizations,” said Kevin Marion – VP Hockey Operations/GM of the Milwaukee Power. “Our 2003 and 2004 birth year players can now understand and recognize the opportunity that is in front of them and perhaps make an impact with the Generals and get a call up this season,” added Marion.
“Since Local Hockey Partners formed the Milwaukee Power and started playing in the NA3HL during the 2017-18 season, Bryan Erikson, Head Coach/President of Hockey Operations for the Northeast Generals, has personally been one my most trusted and respected colleagues, partners and friends inside the NA3HL/NAHL,” says Chase Ernst, CEO of Local Hockey Partners and President of the Milwaukee Power.
“The Generals “Ladder of Development” model of owning an NA3HL and NAHL organization is the exact model we are trying to replicate and bring to fruition inside Local Hockey Partners. The success the Generals have season after season in both the NA3HL and NAHL is a direct testament to their “Ladder of Development” model and having Bryan Erikson at the helm of their hockey operations. The Generals and Bryan’s ability to develop and advance players at the NAHL level into the collegiate ranks is second to no one. This affiliation agreement will provide an unbelievable opportunity for our Power players looking to advance into the NAHL and ultimately the collegiate ranks. I am tremendously thankful, appreciative and honored he chose our Milwaukee Power organization as one of his three partners for the new NA3HL-NAHL Player Affiliate initiative,” emphasized Ernst.
As a part of the agreement, NAHL Clubs will be allowed name up to three 2003 or 2004 birth year NA3HL Affiliates during the season. These players must come from three unique NA3HL clubs and do not have to be added to the NAHL teams official Protected List. To be eligible, the player must appear on the official playing roster of an NA3HL team and must have played at least one game with that team prior to playing an NAHL game. NA3HL Affiliates shall be limited to a maximum of ten junior games per season and affiliates are not eligible for NAHL playoffs and must be returned to their NA3HL teams before NA3HL Playoffs. The affiliate players must be identified on or before December 15, 2022.
