Milwaukee Power Captain Mike Dalaly has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at the Indiana Institute of Technology.
Dalaly, a Naperville, IL native played three seasons with the Milwaukee Power, serving as captain in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
“We were very happy to acquire Michael in a trade in the 2020-21 season from the Texas Jr. Brahams to bring him closer to home and watch his game excel. He was a leader on and off the ice in all aspects of the game. Our organization is extremely happy for Michael on his commitment and look forward to watching him perform at his highest level with their D1 program,” said Power General Manager Kevin Marion.
“When I came to Milwaukee, I didn’t know what my future had in store. I was fortunate enough to have great billet families, an outstanding coach in Coach Mitchell and was able to play in front of the Power fans which are the best in the league for a great junior experience. I cannot thank everyone in the Power organization who believed in me enough. My family back home supported me to get to this point and my new one in Milwaukee followed soon after. I am excited to start my next chapter at Indiana Tech,” said Dalaly.
“We are thrilled to hear of Michael’s commitment to Indiana Tech. IT is a great institution and is receiving a great human and hockey player. As our captain, he was a key contributor on a nightly basis and helped this organization set franchise records first of its kind. He was also exceptional off the ice in the community of West Bend, which was recognized by the league, with the NA3HL Community Service Award. Congratulations to Mike and his family,” said Milwaukee Power Head Coach, Assistant General Manager John Mitchell.
In 113 games played with the Power, Dalaly tallied 38 goals and 53 assists for 91 points with 128 penalty minutes.
The Indiana Institute of Technology ACHA D1 program competes in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
Congratulations, Mike!
