MILWAUKEE POWER ANNOUNCES NEW OWNERSHIP, TEAM NAME CHANGE, NAHL AFFILIATION
The Milwaukee Power NA3HL junior hockey team has been purchased by West Bend Hockey Club, LLC from Local Hockey Partners. It will rename to the West Bend Power effective immediately. The West Bend Power will play its home games, and offices will remain at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center, 2330 S. Main Street, West Bend.
Nic Novaczyk will serve as President of the West Bend Power, Greg Petermann, Vice President, and Jason Woods, Director of Hockey Operations. Kris Marion will serve as Business Operations Manager.
“In the short time that the Power hockey team has been in West Bend, our city has rapidly embraced the team and players on the ice. West Bend should be the permanent home to this NA3HL team; we couldn’t be more excited to make that happen,” said West Bend Power President Nic Novaczyk.
West Bend Power also announces an official affiliation agreement with the NAHL Wisconsin Windigo in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The partnership will see West Bend Power as the NA3HL affiliate of the Windigo, with the two organizations collaborating on player development, growth, and advancement.
“We believe the Wisconsin Windigo is a first-class organization. This partnership will immensely benefit our players and provide Windigo with our support and resources. The West Bend Power can now foster player development while offering a pathway of opportunity for those on the cusp of joining a NAHL team” stated Jason Woods, Director of hockey operations for the Power.

Players will arrive August 20 for training camp, and the season will begin Saturday, September 16 with the home opener against the Oregon Tradesmen at 7:30pm. The West Bend Power is a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior organization playing in the Central Division of the NA3HL. The primary mission of the NA3HL, which is managed organizationally by the North American Hockey League (NAHL), is to provide a structured developmental environment for student-athletes who aspire to play in the NAHL or United States Hockey League (USHL) and eventually NCAA or American College Hockey Association.
