The Milwaukee Power organization and players are committed to community service. Our goal as an organization is to not only create good hockey players, but good human beings. Giving back to the community they live and play in is part of our culture and players’ responsibilities.
The Milwaukee Power’s Signature includes: “Our emphasis will always be about player development and advancement inside the sport of hockey, but ultimately preparing our players for the game of life.”
This season’s community service includes:
– German Fest (Food/beverage, restocking, garbage/recycling, money running, Kinderzone)
– Wheels On Main (event security)
– West Bend Farmer’s Market – Milwaukee Power booth
– Full Shelf Food Pantry – collected and delivered non-perishable food items
– Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Washington County – serving as a Big Brother
– PAWS IN THE PARK –Washington County Humane Society Walk (unload vehicles, put up snow fencing, directing/walking traffic, refilling water bottles and dog bowls, stocking, organizing, helping vendors unload
– Enchantment In the Park (set up and tear down)
– WCYHA (Washington County Youth Hockey) Tryout week – served as tryout evaluators
– WCYHA Intro to Hockey Instructors – 6-week program for beginners
– Weekly WCYHA practices 3 nights/week (coach, assist, teach youth, skill sessions, execute practice plans) – full season (October – March)
– Gingerbread House – packing, pickup and delivery
– West Bend Christmas Parade
– Enchantment in the Park – Event volunteers
The Power has collected donations for Braising Pan Restaurant after their fire.
Donations – Power packages (merchandise, season passes, tickets, etc.) to fundraisers for:
– Concordia University Men’s ACHA
– United Way of Washington County
– St. Michael Parish, Kewaskum
– Waukesha County Youth Hockey
– Cedarburg High School
