NEW STATE-OF-THE ART, MULTI-SHEET COMMUNITY ICE CENTER COMING TO COBALT PARTNERS DEVELOPMENT IN GREENFIELD

Greenfield, WI - Local Hockey Partners LLC, the ownership group of the Milwaukee Power of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), has partnered with Mia Rose Holdings LLC of Chesterfield, Missouri to form LHP-MRH JV LLC.  The joint-venture entity will design & build a state-of-the-art, regionally, and nationally recognized, multi-sheet, community ice center inside Cobalt Partners’ newest master development coming to the City of Greenfield, Wisconsin.  St. Louis, Missouri based ARCO Construction will be the General Contractor on the Greenfield Community Ice Center which is scheduled to break ground in the summer of 2021 and open in the fall 2022.

“Our vision from day one was to create a state-of-the-art, multi-sheet, community ice center that would become the epicenter for the collective Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin ice communities.  The Greenfield Community Ice Center brings that ‘local’ vision one step closer to reality.  Because of who and what this facility will attract and accommodate we will immediately make this a local, regional, and national destination.  Also, as we continue to grow the Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL and build our ‘Ladder of Development’ inside USA Junior hockey this facility better positions us in bringing a future North American Hockey League (NAHL) organization to the Milwaukee community, for the Milwaukee community, based in the City of Greenfield,” proudly states Chase Ernst, CEO of Local Hockey Partners and LHP-MRH JV.

“The Greenfield, Wisconsin area fits within the footprint the NAHL has created and maintained in the upper Midwest.  Adding another team in the region would continue to reduce travel costs for several teams, establish additional regional rivalries and further enhance the existing travel corridor.  The project would be an unparalleled opportunity for the community and right in step with our mission to develop players Youth through Junior to play college hockey someday,” Mark Frankenfeld, President & Commissioner of the NAHL had to say about the Greenfield Community Ice Center development news.

The Greenfield Community Ice Center will annually bring in around 750,000 visitors and generate upwards of $50MM in economic impact for the surrounding community in its first 10 years.  In regards to the economic impact from the facility, Tara Cavazos, Executive Director of The South 27th Street Business District echoed what this facility would do for businesses; “The South 27th Street Business District is the largest continuous business corridor in the State of Wisconsin.  Our Association is very  supportive of the future Greenfield Community Ice Center directly outside of our district boundary.  This  facility will draw local, regional and national spectators and travelers to our business community and will bring positive growth, local marketing and consumer acquisition opportunities for our business district.”

Alderwoman, Denise Collins of Greenfield proclaimed, “The City is excited for what the Greenfield Community Ice Center will bring.  This facility really will draw people to the City and the region as a whole.  We are thrilled to welcome LHP-MRH JV and their partners to our community.  This 28-acre Cobalt Partners development provides an opportunity for exponential tax growth, enhancement of underutilized land, jobs and recreational appeal to Greenfield.  I really see the City being placed on the map with all that the develop will be bring to the area.”

ARCO Construction, the General Contractor for the Greenfield Community Ice Center, is based out of St. Louis, Missouri and has expertise and specialization in designing and building state-of-the-art arena projects.  Most notably and recently, ARCO Construction designed and built the $70MM Centene Community Ice Rink, the four-sheet, practice home of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, as well as the $22MM Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Missouri, home to the Chesterfield Hockey Association, one of St. Louis’ largest youth hockey organizations and Maryville University’s ACHA DI & DII programs.

Tom Kaiman, Owner of Mia Rose Holdings and Managing Partner of LHP-MRH JV commented on his relationship with ARCO Construction and why they were the obvious choice to partner with on this project, “I have known the executive team at ARCO Construction throughout my entire career.  ARCO is the premiere Midwest design-build ice rink contractor that was instrumental in bringing both the Centene Community Ice Rink and the Maryville University Hockey Center to fruition in the St. Louis, Missouri region.  We are very excited they are part of our dynamic team we have on the Greenfield Community Ice Center project and I am confident this facility will be something the entire Milwaukee community and the City of Greenfield will take pride in.”

“This makes Greenfield a better place that showcases the City in a very positive way.  While some other places struggle looking for the right kinds of economic impact, we are blessed with what promises to be another great overall development,” stated Mayor Michael Neitzke.
