Comeback Comes Up Short

Oct 18, 2020

The Power kicked off their two game road trip in St. Louis last night. It was a rough start as the Jr. Blues scored just a minute and 23 seconds into the 1st and would add two more before the end of the period.

Milwaukee had a better 2nd period defensively but would give up the fourth unanswered goal of the night on a  St. Louis power play. A lot of penalties were taken by both sides starting in the 2nd and they would spill over into the 3rd.

The Power would get on the board as Riley Cassada was credited with the goal coming off the rush with Dominic Martinetti and Tyler Nelson. This was the fourth goal for the 3rd liner in the past three games. Milwaukee would get within two on a power play goal by Garrett Alton on a diving effort late in the period. The Power ran out of time on the clock as the comeback would come up two goals short.

Jackson Broussard stopped 36 of 40 shot attempts by the Blues. The Power shooters put more pucks on net with 44, the first time they have outshot their opponent this season. Milwaukee will look to bounce back this afternoon by keeping it a closer contest through the first two frames.
