The Milwaukee Power is excited to announce the NCAA Division III commitment of former Power Goaltender Cole Shane to NCHA Concordia University Wisconsin.
Shane, a 2001 6’4″, 194-pound Park Ridge, IL native played at total of 21 games for the Power in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
“Cole came to us after a brief stint in the NCDC with the Twin City Thunder. COVID hit and the Chicago native came home, allowing us to shore him up in our net in the 2020-21 season,” said Milwaukee Power VP Hockey Operations and General Manager Kevin Marion.
“Cole then underwent hip surgery after the 2020-21 season and came back for a few games in 21-22 season. He played great in his return but made the decision to repair his other hip this past winter. Showing his love of the game, Cole continued to work through his recovery which has landed with a team that believes in him. I could not be happier for Cole, as he’s stronger than ever and can’t wait to hit campus in August. Congratulations Cole and all the best at Concordia,” added Marion.
“Cole is a true competitor and will be a great addition to our goaltending group. Working with him during the 2021-22 season at the Power, he displayed his abilities, tenacity, and willingness to compete. I look forward to working with Cole on the collegiate level,” said Concordia University Assistant Coach Nate Eminger.
