The Central Division won all three games at the NA3HL's Top Prospects Tournament and the members of the Milwaukee Power made their presence known. Goaltender Aaron Dickstein, forward Logan Geisness, and forward Chuck Bay were selected to represent the Power.
Aaron Dickstein started the first game against the Coastal Division featuring some of the NA3's top goal scorers. Dickstein would stop 29 of 32 shots to get the win with a final score of 5 to 3.
In the second game the Central took on the West Division with Mikael Foucher getting the start. Chuck Bay and Logan Geisness got their first points of the day with assists on a goal from Brandon Ratzloff. The Central would win with a final score of 5 to 2.
Dickstein got the start in the final game against the Frontier Division and stopped 21 of 22 shots in the first half giving the Central a 4 to 1 lead before being relieved by Mikael Foucher for the second half. Foucher would give up 3 goals after facing 17 shots.
Geisness scored just before the first half buzzer to put the Central up by 3 with Bay getting an assist. The roles would be reversed as the Milwaukee duo capitalized with an empty net goal with less than a minute to go in the third to give the Central a 2 goal lead and set the final score of 6 to 4.
Even though the Central had the morning game on the last day of the Tournament, they will be the only team to have gone perfect winning all 3 games.
Up next for the Power is the Coulee Region Chill this Friday as they look to lock up a playoff spot. Milwaukee has control of their destiny to make the post season just needing to win two more games. However, the final standings of the Central could come down to the final weekend in March with the Chill and Blues battling it out for 1st place and the Power trying to hold off the Mustangs for 3rd place. Meanwhile the Whalers are still alive with a long shot but would need to win out and would need Milwaukee or Peoria to lose their last 5 games.
